Bathinda To Plant 6.5 Lakh Saplings,

Bathinda, June 8 To enhance green cover and promote environmental sustainability, Bathinda district will plant 6.5 lakh saplings of various species across the district, Deputy Commissioner Rajesh Dhiman announced. On the occasion of World Environment Day, a ‘Nanak Bagichi’ was established in Dumwali village, where 36 indigenous tree species were planted by the Forest Department under the supervision of Amit Chauhan. Officials emphasized the need for large-scale plantation efforts to combat climate change and increase Bathinda’s forest cover. Citizens were encouraged to plant and nurture at least one tree for a greener future.
